This design incorporates 10 push buttons divided into three “zones” in strategically placed locations. If one or more switches in a zone are activated, the entire “zone” is considered active and sends input to the microchip, as described in the previous two design concepts. Depression of the buttons controls the cycle of 15 minutes sitting, alert (auditory, visual, vibrational), and 10 seconds relief. The patient will be able to select the desired alert mode via a toggle switch resting on the arm of the wheelchair.
