Executive Summary
|
|
There is a need for a portable and versatile model of
a human eye that can simulate its optical properties. Such a design
allows medical students a more convenient means to practice eye examination
protocols with a direct ophthalmoscope. Team I2I, in conjunction with
Dr. David Quillen of the Pennsylvania State
University Medical Center Department of Ophthalmology, developed a
functional model with considerations of low cost, versatility, and
anatomical and physiological accuracy under examination in mind.
