Research

Overview :

Our lab is interested in how endothelial cells sense and respond to mechanical stimuli.  We have identified a number of experimental, mathematical, and computational techniques to explore the mechanics, physiology, and molecular dynamics of endothelial cells while subjected to fluid shear stress.

Projects:

Molecular Dynamics of Stressed Membranes

Time Correlated Single Photon Counting: Measuring Fluorescence Lifetime and diffusion of membrane dyes
Mechanics as a moving target: adaptive rheology of endothelial cells
Stressing membranes
Cell-specific, multiscale modeling of cells
