Overview
Penn State Bioengineering research has evolved from its initial focus on cardiovascular health, disease, and devices, to a diversity of research areas including mechanobiology, BioMEMs, medical imaging, biophotonics and biomaterials. In addition, many Penn State bioengineering researchers are part of major centers focusing on obesity and diabetes, cancer, nanofabrication, and materials science.
