Global Learning

In addition to the many study abroad opportunities offered at Penn State, biomedical engineering students are uniquely positioned to take part in a number of global learning initiatives both on and off campus.

Our students have studied at universities around the globe and most recently, collaborated with international students as part of a global capstone design project series. International capstone collaborations allow student teams to gain rich experience and feedback by working with their global peers. These experiences do not necessitate the time and expense of travel.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering understands the importance of global experiences in a well-rounded education and encourages all interested students to pursue an avenue that is suited to their situation.
